We out those who like to get their kit off...
From Marilyn Manson to Britney Spears, from Iggy Pop to Peaches; there are a plethora of stars in music who like nothing more than to get their kit off and appear nude. Here we look at 50 musicians that have either got naked, semi-naked or expose so much flesh that they leave very little to the imagination. Be warned, there are a few cases of full frontal nudity!!

Rihanna - the shy and retiring (as if) star recently posted an entire gallery of her vacation in Hawaii on her Facebook page. Needless to say, she wasn't wrapped up for the photos...
Harry Styles (One Direction): According to boyband member Louis Tomlinson, "Harry likes to be naked all the time. He got a hefty fine in Sweden for walking around butt naked." Harry stripped off in a recent behind the scenes video for the group's upcoming tour.
Flea – Widely regarded as the joker of the Chili Peppers, while he’s not busy playing the same funktastic bassline over and over, Mr Balzary strips off his clothes. Here he has stripped down to his underwear.
Flo Rida - clearly no stranger to the gym and not shy to show it, US pop rapper Flo Rida is all too often topless
Har Mar Superstar – Overweight, ugly and sweaty, Mr Superstar almost looks like a miniature Ron Jeremy. Just like the porn star, Har Mar likes to expose himself at every possible occasion. Sadly for Har Mar, he doesn’t get the ladies though.
Tim Harrington – Les Savy Fav are easily one of the best live acts around, mainly thanks to unique frontman Tim Harrington. The bearded wonder often gets so carried away with himself that he exposes his hulk of a body.
Blink 182 – It’s hard to think about Blink 182 without conjuring up an image of the three pop-punksters standing in their boxer shorts. In 1999 they released the promo to their single ‘What’s My Age Again’ which saw the trio run the streets completely naked.
Amy Winehouse – Paparazzi snappers often capture the debauched singer in states of undress while shopping for Space Raiders crisps and ice pops at East End newsagents in the early hours, but in 2007 Wino voluntarily stripped for a breast cancer awareness charity.
Iggy Pop – It’s believed that the rock legend hasn’t bought an item of clothing for his upper torso in decades. Live gigs, awards ceremonies, public appearances – every single time the man is photographed he’s topless.
Nick Oliveri – The former Queens of the Stone Age man used to strip live onstage during his time in the band. Since he was (allegedly) ejected from the band by Josh Homme, we’re now more accustomed with seeing him fully clothed.
Peaches – The Canadian electroclash star is notoriously obsessed with sex – from her lyrics to her sleezy music to her partially clothed, kinky-as-fuck onstage antics.
Christina Aguilera - The pint-sized singer told us that she was a dirrrty once and when she raunchily appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in 2001, she very much proved her point.
Alanis Morissette – The video to ‘Thank U’, the lead single from Morissette’s 1998 album ‘Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie’, saw the Canadian walk an amalgam of public locations completely naked. Sadly for the pervs out there, Morissette’s long hair and a bit of air-brushing covered the private regions.
50 Cent – There’s no doubt about it - Curtis Jackson works out pretty damn hard. In fact it’s something he’s only too keen to remind us about when he whips out his muscle-strewn upper torso. We wouldn’t mess with him.
David Yow (centre) - It's never good when you start to become more known for your onstage antics - especially when they involve nakedness - but that's exactly what happened to David Yow, the co-founder of Texas band Scratch Aid and later The Jesus Lizard.
Rammstein – German’s most infamous industrial metal band have always toyed with controversy. Another prime example is the video to 2006 Mann Gegen Mann which saw the band get naked with only their instruments to cover themselves up. Add to this, the interspersed shots of oiled up, muscley men and you’ve got a controversial video.
Marky Mark – The former Funky Bunch man puts the rest of the male population to shame, how can we compete with that physique?! Us, jealous? No!
John Lennon – This cover to an edition of Rolling Stone in the seventies was recently voted the best magazine cover of all time.
Anthony Kiedis – Like every member of the Chili Peppers, Kiedis is only too happy to tear off his shirt at live shows. For a 45-year-old former heroin addict, he’s in surprisingly good shape.
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Having appeared naked, except for socks covering their nether-regions, on the 1987 release ‘Fight Like A Brave’, the Chili Peppers did it again a year later on this pastiche of the famous Beatles cover of the same name.
Lita Ford - In addition to her ability to play the guitar, Lita Ford clearly thought that she had other assets worth flaunting when she rocked up for this photo shoot. One of America’s most commercially successful stars, Ford’s been helped during her career by just about every member of the Osbourne family.
Warren Cuccurullo - Why Warren Cuccurullo was really asked to leave Duran Duran is a hotly debated topic but we think there’s a chance that even the most liberal band of the 80s were taken a back by this picture. Here is the guitarist himself, erm, holding his guitar on the front cover of a Brazilian magazine. Inside, he completely exposed himself.
Kelis - It isn’t just Kelis’ milkshakes that are bringing all the boys to the yard, it may just have something to do with her smoking hot body too, as shown in this shot for Marc Baptiste. Nas is one lucky dude.
Simon Neil - When the Biffy Clyro man takes to the stage he very rarely wears a top. Instead, he goes for the sweaty body, hair flailing, tattooed look that so many rockers have sported down the years
Zia McCabe of Dandy Warhols - The tattooed keyboadist of the Dandy Warhols got naked for the camera while pregnant in 2005. The shoot was for the insanely popular Suicide Girls site and are still on there to this day. In the Warhols’ early days, she was partial to getting her breasts out onstage too.
Johnny Borrell – Easily one of the most irritating beings in music, Mr Borrell also has an unhealthy penchant with unveiling his pastey chest. Get it away from us please.
Manowar - Even Tarzan never looked as camp as Manowar do in this picture. The American heavy rock group, which formed in 1980, hold the world record for delivering the loudest performance. We bet that even that show wasn’t as loud as their Jungle Book cat suits in this picture.
Kevin Rowland – Following a successful career with Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Rowland released the covers album ‘My Beauty’ in 1999. The record was a commercial disaster, perhaps mainly to do with the fact that very few people had the bottle to take the album up to the counter.
The Great Kat - The Great Kat, whose real name is Katherine Thomas (sounds a lot more serene doesn’t it?), has built a career on dressing like a dominatrix. Here she is in one of her more tame publicity shots, looking like she’s prepared to rip our heads off.
Madonna – Very few musicians have become as synonymous with sex as Queen Madge. As well as being an all-round sexual icon, Madonna published the book ‘Sex’ in 1992 which saw the pop star pose in a variety of compromising positions. The ultimate coffee table book.
GG Allin – Nudity was the least of your worries if you attended a show by the late hardcore punk-rocker. Nope, if you were unlucky enough, he’d douse you in his own blood, urine or excrement. A thoroughly pleasant experience, then.
Dave Navarro – The former Chili Pepper and Jane’s Addiction guitarist seldom appears onstage with a top on. Showing off his tattooed torso clearly paid off when he attracted the attention of his one-time wife Carmen Electra.
Britney Spears - She might be scantly clad in this photo but Britney Spears has found herself in more compromising positions of late – most of which involve her inability to wear underwear before leaving her Los Angeles house.
Lil Kim - Lil Kim took the title of her 2005 album ‘The Naked Truth’ a little to literally when she turned up for this photo shoot. Dressed in, well, nothing, she stepped in front of the camera with just her folded arms to cover her modesty. Whatever happened to clothes?
Jim Morrison of The Doors – The Doors’ 1969 show in Miami will go down in folklore as one of the most controversial ever because of Morrison’s lewd, naked performance. What he did first others copied to this very day. Above is perhaps his most iconic shot, with his shirt off naturally.
Prince – Proving that he’s a bit of a megalomaniac, the purple midget appeared completely naked on the front sleeve to his 1988 record ‘Lovesexy’ - an image that proved to be iconic to his legions of fans, but loathed by his legions of detractors.
Pete Doherty – As anyone who ingests copious amounts of Class A drugs will no doubt tell you, one of the adverse side-effects is that you get the sweats. Here, pictured at the sweltering Benicassim Festival in Spain, our Pete was forced to strip in the face of the heat.
Beth Ditto – Just last year Beth posed naked for a well known music weekly (y’know the one that Morrissey loves?), a move which provoked praise from the likes of Germaine Greer. Ever since The Gossip rose to eminence, Ditto has appeared onstage scantily clad, in tight outfits that leave very little to the imagination.
D’angelo – The video to the 1999 track ‘Untitled (How Does It Feel)’ saw urban type D’Angelo show off his nude and incredibly muscular body. The big-headed bastard!
Tommy Lee - Is there any more famous a naked rock star than Tommy Lee? Besides his work in Motley Crue, Lee is perhaps most known now for the way Pamela Anderson tastelessly relieved him in a certain video.
Wendy O Williams - With her individual style, Wendy O Williams is regarded as one of the most controversial singers of her day. Radical in just about every sense of the word - from her on stage theatrics, porn career, to love of all things naked - it's no wonder she's regarded as a pioneer.
