Members of the Westboro Baptist Church staged a protest outside a Radiohead gig in Kansas yesterday.

The extreme religious group described the band as 'freak monkeys with mediocre tunes' on their website.

"God is undoing this nation and effecting all of your lives, with the moth that quietly eats the very fabric of your national garment. Radiohead is just such an event," added the group - who are best known for their 'God hates fags' slogan and the Louis Theroux documentary on their believes and practices.

Radiohead's producer Nigel Godrich responded on Twitter, saying the protest and comments were the "highlight of the tour".

Meanwhile, Radiohead recently announced they would play three UK dates later this year. For more info and for tickets, check out Gigwise Gig Tickets.
