Madonna hits back at Adele 'fat' comments

Madonna has blasted designer Karl Lagerfeld over his recent comments that Adele is 'fat'.

The fashion designer was asked by The Metro newspaper last month what he thought of Lana Del Rey, he replied:

'I prefer Adele and Florence Welch. But as a modern singer she is not bad," Lagerfeld told the tabloid. "The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice."

Responding to his comment, Madonna told The Sun: "That's horrible. That's ridiculous, that's just the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.''

"I don't like it when anybody says anything bad about anyone - I don't like it. Adele's a great talent and how much she weighs has nothing to do with it."
