Rapper Jay-Z's performance at South By Southwest festival has met with rave reviews - despite starting his set 40minutes late.

The star was ferried with a police escort from the airport to the Austin City Limits Live venue, where fans had been waiting up to two hours for the show to start. However, early reviews suggest the show was a success.

US website CBS reports that he performed an 80-minute show. His setlist included '99 Problems', 'Empire State of Mind' and 'Glory'.

"I'm feeling a lot of love in this building," Jay-Z apparently said to the audience. "I'm feeling a lot of love in this city today. I'm feeling a lot of love in this city tonight."

"You had a beautiful time and I had a beautiful time," he added.

Jay-Z will be landing in the UK later this year to perform alongside Kanye West as part of their Watch The Throne tour. He was also recently confirmed for Radio One's Hackney Weekender event in London.

Tickets are on sale now. For more details and to buy Watch The Throne tickets, check out Gigwise Gig Tickets.
