Professor Green has defended himself against fans criticising his appearance at the Stone Roses concerts this Summer.
Green is amongst a raft of names announced for the Heaton Park shows last night, joining Plan B, Beady Eye, Primal Scream, The Vaccines and The Wailers in the opening slots.
However, with his grime background and number one pop singles the choice has not gone down well with some Stone Roses fans who took to Twitter to complain about the choice of support. Never one to back down, Green fired back at the critics in outspoken style.
"Ian Brown asked me to support @thestoneroses at Heaton Park... I of course said f*ck yea!!! See you there on Sat 30th June!!" he started.
Adding: "Love the mixed response! Ian Brown personally asked me to do the gig. Read it and weep you c*nts!"
Green then exchanged insults with a number of fans, many of whom became offended that he replied to their initial criticism. The 'Read All About It' star then went on to reveal his plan for when he is on the same bill as Stone Roses and Beady Eye.
"Now if I could get Ian and Liam on a song... I actually nearly worked witj Ian on ATID... It shall happen in the future!"
Meanwhile, Spliknot DJ Sid Wilson has spoken about the 'dirty' song he and Pro Green have worked on together.
