US rapper Kanye West has been accused of sampling another artist's music without permission - again.
The star has been accused by Robert Poindexter, the lead singer of seventies band The Persuaders, of sampling his track 'Trying Girls Out' without permission. The singer is seeking half a million dollars in compensation, having filed the law suit in New York on 27 March, 2012.
The track in question is Kanye's remix of Jay-Z's 'Girls Girls Girls' which was released in 2007 on the Freshamn Adjustment 2 mixtape.
Poindexter claims that Kanye was fully aware of the track's existence, having used a cleared sample of 'Trying Girls Out' on an album version of the track.
Legal experts have suggested that the case may not stand, since the mixtape was not commercially released.
Kanye West recently settled another law-suit with singer Syl Johnson, who also claimed Kanye sampled without permission.

The music world isn't just big enough for only one Gallagher brother to go solo, it seems, but there's only that makes it into this list. Sorry Liam.
