U2 have furthered their efforts to take a new direction with their next album, working with one of the biggest pop writers in the world on new music.
Carl Falk, who has written for the likes of One Direction, Nicki Minaj, Taio Cruz and Westlife, is the latest in a number of high profile names attached to U2's next project - alongside Black Eyed Peas Will.iam.
Speaking to The Sun, Falk said: “There’s a long way to go but we are doing something with U2.”
With a source adding: “The band are back in the studio getting a feel for new material after the last album No Line On The Horizon. Will.i.am had a credit on that and they are looking to explore that direction further. They have been working with Dangermouse and Redone They are excited about getting to work with Carl Falk.”
Meanwhile, U2 were recently voted the greatest Irish musicians of all time by Gigwise viewers.
