Ed Sheeran has expressed his sadness after one of his young fans passed away this week.
Abigail Fleming, 14, sadly lost her battle with cancer after first being diagnosed in 2010. The young girl, from South Yorkshire, was found to have bone cancer in her left leg and had chemotherapy but was left with no option but to have her left knee and part of her leg removed. A routine scan in 2010 then found tumours in her left lung.
Throughout this time, Abigail became a big fan of Sheeran and he sent her a video message as well as arranging VIP access for her at one of his UK tour dates.
Shortly before her death, Abigail threw a 16th birthday party in advance of actually turning that age - something she knew would likely never happen.
Tweeting about the news earlier today, Sheeran said: "Rest in peace Abigail, gone too soon x" Adding: "my love and thoughts are with the family"
