Leonard Cohen's former lover, who also acted as his manager, has been found guilty of harrassing the star in court today (April 13).
Kelley Lynch was fired by Cohen in 2004 after a 17 year working relationship with him. The split turned sour however and Cohen alleged that Lynch had stolen over £5m from him.
The harrassment case has seen a week long trial take place with hundreds of expletive filled messages read out in addition to Cohen's claims that Lynch "routinely accused me of being a drug addict and many other things."One e-mail read out by Cohen in the LA courtroom revealed that Lynch had said that: "Leonard Norman Cohen should be taken before a firing squad and shot,"
This is not the first time Leonard Cohen has taken Lynch to court with a 2005 court case seeing the 'Hallelujah' star claim his former manager had stolen $5m from him. The financial fall out from the case is what has caused Cohen to return to performing live at the age of 70.
Lynch's lawyer today said that the current case "is very much about relationships and how relationships oftentimes get messy."
