Jessie J has hit back at claims she has been struck down by health problems while judging The Voice for BBC1.
The singer, who is well known for having suffered a series of health complaints during her teenage years and living a strict lifestyle to maintain her health, was said to be under doctors' supervision after fears her workload may cause her to suffer a stroke.
Jessie J has strongly denied these rumours, however, taking to Twitter to deny these claims.
"Can I be totally honest for a minute? I was in and out of hospital with real health scares my whole childhood. I have an irregular heartbeat I've had all my life & I suffered a minor stroke at 18..." she said across a series of Twitter updates.
"Then I go on The Voice UK & stories are like boomerangs, the media tries to throw them away but just keep coming back. Lazy... It's an easy believable but untrue way the media works.
"But I will say this. My health is a very important part of my life & I don't take lightly to the media making a joke about it. I have made huge sacrifices to making sure my body and mind can deal with my life & I am happy, I am healthy & I am trying to make the UK proud."
Jessie J is currently judging The Voice alongside Will.i.am, Tom Jones and Danny O'Donoghue from The Script. Her single 'Lazerlight' is a new entry at No.26 on this week's single's chart.
