Axl Rose apologises for Guns n' Roses' Hall of Fame snub

Axl Rose has apologised to Guns n' Roses' fans in Cleveland after he pulled out of the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony due to take place there this past weekend.

As reported on Gigwise, Rose refused to have any part in the annual induction ceremony which this year was honouring the 'Appetite For Destruction' band. Writing on the bands official website, Rose said that he did not want to let down his fans in the local area.

"I would like to apologise to Cleveland, Ohio, for not apologising to them beforehand for not attending in their city," Rose said. "I seriously didn't plan on or expect the overwhelmingly positive response and public support for my decision … I'm truly humbled, blown away and unbelievably relieved!"

Rose goes on in the letter to defend his public image saying that he knows most people think of him as being a 'crazy, volatile, hater' but that he can be kind and even ''once bought a homeless woman a slice of pizza who yelled at me she wanted soup."

Cleveland music fans made their feelings on Axl Rose known at the Hall Of Fame induction when they booed his name when it was announced on the loud speaker.
