Liam Gallagher capped a memorable night for Manchester City last night when he joined in with a press conference taking place after their win over league rivals Manchester United.
Gallagher, a lifelong City fan, was in a jubilant mood after the team beat their Manchester rivals 1-0, a pivotal moment in this year's Premier League title race. Bursting into the media room at Manchester City's Etihad stadium, Gallagher started by saying simply; "What do you want to know lads? ... top of the league. Well done City."
Quizzed on his feelings for Man City manager Roberto Mancini, Gallagher said: "I love him, he's so cool, he's almost as cool as me."
Meanwhile, discussing the reasons as to why Sir Alex Ferguson losing his temper on the Manchester United touchline, Liam suggested that, "Ferguson must have been on the whisky." He then left the press conference with his arm around goalscorer Vincent Kompany, shouting "Viva Belgium" to the journalists.
Liam later Tweeted a picture of himself with Diego Maradona, who was at the game to check on his son in-law, Man City striker Sergio Aguero.
