Beyonce's 'Run The World' single started life as a joke track, says producer Diplo, who initially couldn't believe his luck to be working with the superstar.
The producer, who has worked with the likes of MIA and Chris Brown in the past, revealed that the track was never meant to be included on Beyonce's '4' album - let alone become the lead track from the project.
"I still think a lot of people don't even realise where that song came from," says the Major Lazer star in an interview with Newsbeat. "That song never really had a push. It was a joke song we did. Kind of like a funny joke kind of song."
Speaking of the thrill of working on Beyonce in the studio, he added: "That was super weird, man. Like, I remember we were in the studio working with her and I still couldn't believe it."
