Video game company sues Beyonce for $100 million

Beyonce is set to be issued with a lawsuit for a massive $100 million by video game developer Gate Five, after the star pulled out of an agreement to appear in one of their games.

A US judge has given the company the go-ahead to take the singer to court, demanding $100 million for estimated losses after she refused to star in a motion capture music game.

The game, scheduled to have been titled 'Starpower: Beyonce' was abandoned by Beyonce in 2010 after her lawyers claimed she was entitled to quit the project as financial agreements had not been confirmed.  The games company maintain that the singer was aware that negotiations were days from being finalised. They claim Beyonce backed out of a deal said to be worth $20 million.

Now, a judge has sided with Gate Five, granting permission to begin legal proceedings against the star, who could now face a court appearance if the lawsuit goes ahead.
