Former Libertines frontman Pete Doherty is said to be planning an auction of some of his personal items - including Amy Winehouse artwork painted in her blood.
The painting is set to be sold alongside items such as his diaries, clothing, instruments and other personal effects and belongings from the now-solo star.
"Blood plays the starring role in my work," he says of the upcoming auction. "Sweat and tears are often waiting in the wings."
The Amy Winehouse artwork is said to be a self-portrait Amy drew in her own blood, and is expected to sell for £50,000 - £80,000 when it goes on sale at London's Cob Gallery.
The Independent reports that Docherty is keen to establish himself as a serious artist using a techinque known as 'arterial splatter' - involving spraying blood onto canvas with the use of a syringe.
