Lady Gaga has paid tribute to Marilyn Monroe, on what woul have been the Hollywood icon's birthday.
Marilyn, a huge inspiration for Lady Gaga, died in 1962 but would have celebrated her 86th birthday today (June 1st).
Posting the picture you can see above on Twitter, Gaga added: "They'll never take our blonde hair and lipstick."
Other famous faces to post tributes to Marilyn Monroe today include Marina Diamandis, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey. 'Super Bass' star Minaj Tweeted: "Happy Birthday Marilyn Monroe!!!!!!! *blows kiss* *winks** *winks*"
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga was the centre of the Madonna's attention during the first night of her MDNA world tour last night with the Material Girl performing a segment of 'Born This Way' between her hit 'Express Yourself'.
