In an interview with NME The Vaccines spoke about the opportunity to perform with the band, saying: "I love the band (The Stone Roses), John Squire is amazing. I can’t wait to see it. We’re really happy to be centre of it. (It’s) so good, can’t argue with it."
But keeping their feet on the ground they added, "It’s a very cool gig to be part of but it’s a gig, I like to think we’ve been selected and that we got the call because we’re quite good at what we do and that’s what we’re gonna have to what we do ."
Heaton Park isn’t the only thing on The Vaccines schedule this summer. The band have an upcoming arena tour in Europe, Reading and Leads festival as well as T In The Park.
