Friendly Fires have suggested that they may release new material through an alias as it is so different to their other music.
The 'Pala' band are famed for their indie-pop take on electronic dance music but singer Ed MacFarlane has said that new music he is working on with his bandmates is totally different to the usual Friendly Fires fare.
"We've been working on eight-minute long tracks that don't sound anything like what we do now," he told the Mirror.
Adding: "The music is what it's all about for us so if it means we release under a different name then that's fine."
Friendly Fires drummer Jack Savidge recently started his own club night with Edwin Congreave from Foals named Deep Sh*t.
