Doctor Who is ready to bust back onto our screens - and a new trailer revealed today shows dinosaurs, Daleks and the possible death of assistant Amy Pond. Watch the trailer below.

Ticking every possible sci-fi box, the trailer shows Daleks, dinosaurs, cowboys, robots and more, with the return of several familiar faces (good and evil) from previous series.

Returning cast member Alex Kingston is seen, as are stationary but scary villains the Weeping Angels. The trailer also seems to imply the death of Amy Pond, the Doctor's assistant for the past two series. Played by actress Karen Gillan, this, the seventh series of the BBC reboot, is her last. She is expected to replaced by Jenna Louise Coleman midway through the upcoming series.
