Tommy Lee has banned SeaWorld from using any of Motley Crue’s music.

The drummer heard that SeaWorld were planning to use rock music in a new ‘Shamu Rocks’ display and took pre-emptive measures to ensure that Motley Crue would not be included.

Lee believes that it is cruel to make killer whales perform for entertainment and has spoken out about this before.

In a letter to John T. Reilly, president of the theme park's San Diego location, he wrote: “I'm writing to ask you not to play any Motley Crue's songs at any of SeaWorld's parks during this sad show.

“Although we like to torture the human fans who willingly come to our shows, we don't want to be a part of making innocent animals' lives hellish.”

Lee also recently wrote a letter in which he accused SeaWorld of obtaining sperm from Orca whales by masturbating them into a cow’s vagina. However, SeaWorld said these claims were ‘beyond ludicrous.’
