Pink has spoken out about death threats she received from Chris Brown fans on Twitter after she made a joke about the singer.
After Chris Brown performed on TV at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards last May, Pink Tweeted a joke about his lip-synching.
She wrote: "One day if I lipsync, I hope I do it as well as him."
But 'Who Knew' singer says that she only meant the joke to be lightheared and did not intend to cause offence.
However, this did not stop fans of Chris Brown sending Pink abusive messages on the social networking site.
"The internet has created monsters," the singer told News.com.au. "People that wouldn't have the balls to say anything in person but they get a keyboard under their fingers and, well, there's that saying, 'Anonymity is a shield from the tyranny of the majority'."
"There are so many haters in the world, so many miserable people," she continued. "It was a joke. It wasn't even meant like, 'I hate Chris Brown'. Twitter brings out the best and worst in people - myself included."
"With the Chris Brown thing I got death threats for days. My favourite was, 'I will snatch you within an inch of your life'. I don't know how that works exactly, but whatever you want."
The 'Get This Party Started' star added that she also received abusive Tweets after she was unveiled as the new face of cosmetics firm CoverGirl.
"After the announcement someone tweeted to me, 'Too bad they can't Photoshop the bitch off your face'," she said. "They were probably all proud of themselves when they were writing it. But that's our society, that's where we're at right now."
Pink recently performed duet 'True Love' onstage with a heavily pregnant Lilly Allen in LA, who is soon to make her musical comeback.
Pink's forthcoming album 'The Truth About Love' will feature a collaboration with Eminem and is scheduled for release before the end of the year.
