XL Recordings set to grab third number one of the year

 

Midweek Album Charts: The xx at number one over The Script and Bob Dylan

The xx's second LP Coexist is currently at number one in the midweek album charts potentially giving XL Recordings their number one album of the year. They are followed closely by The Script's #3 and Bob Dylan's Tempest

Coldplay are currently charting at number four, followed by The Pet Shop Boys's new record Elysium. 
 
The Vaccines have fallen from the top spot and are currently sitting at number six with their second LP Come Of Age. Emili Sande is at number eight whilst Joe McElderry's is at number nine with Here's What I Believe, leaving Rita Ora is at number ten.
 
Meanwhile, in the singles chart, X Factor alumni Amelia Lily is sitting at number one with her debut single 'You Bring Me Joy'
