Nelly Furtado's latest album has flopped spectacularly in its first week, selling less than ten thousand copies in the UK and US combined.
'The Spirit Indestructible', Furtado's fifth album, debuted at number 46 in the Official UK Album Chart after selling just 2637 copies in its first week of sales. The album is no longer in the top 100 following a second week.
Things are not much better for Furtado in America, either. The album looks set to debut outside of the top 50 of the Billboard 200 after selling less an 7000 copies.
Furtado's last album, 2006 record 'Loose', opened at number one in America with sales of 219,000.
'The Spirit Indestructible' features a collaboration with Nas as well as the singles 'Parking Lot' and 'Big Hoops (Bigger The Better).
