Adele has confirmed that the title of her James Bond theme song will be 'Skyfall'.
The track title is the same as the latest 007 installment, which hits cinemas later this month, and ends rumours the song had the title 'Let The Sky Fall.
Adele confirmed the song title, as well as production and writing credits, via a picture she posted on Twitter without comment this afternoon (Oct 1). As you can see below, the song was written by Adele and producer Paul Epworth, who has helmed the desk for many of her biggest hits and both '19' and '21' albums.
The artwork for Adele's Bond theme was revealed last week after the cover leaked online.
The image shows Daniel Craig as James Bond with Adele's face behind him in the Skyfall background. The image has not been confirmed as official. It was revealed on blog WotYouGot earlier today (29 September, 2012).
Lyrics from the track were also previously leaked by gossip website, Showbiz411.
The celebrity gossip site describe 'Let The Sky Fall' as an 'ominous, dramatic ballad', packed with 'horn flourishes' and driven by Adele's trademark powerhouse vocals.
The website published the following opening lyrics from the track:
"This is the end/Hold your breath and count to ten/Feel the Earth move and then/Hear my heart burst again."
The site also states that chorus of the track goes as follows: “Let the sky fall/Let it crumble/We will stand tall/And face it all/together.”
