Ryan Adams has revealed that he is recording new music with electro-house giant Deadmau5.

Tweeting about his unlikely collaboration, Adams said: "Recording a track with my new pal @deadmau5 today,". Adding: "Sounds like BladeRunner starring Don Henley."

Deadmau5, recogisable for wearing a giant prosthetic mouse head when on stage, is a regular collaborator and has recently worked with My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way. He later posted the picture of himself with Adams you can see above.

Meanwhile, Adams recently revealed that he has joined The Lemonheads and will produce their next album.

Adams will step into the studio with Evan Dando and Juliana Hatfield, who has officially joined the group as bassist. Guitarist Ben Deily completes the group, joining the band for the first time since quitting in 1989.

The Lemonheads will get back in the studio to record their first album since 2006's self-titled release after playing an upcoming tour with The Psychedelic Furs.
