The Jam frontman Paul Weller and Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins have recorded a radio show together which will air on BBC Radio 6 over the upcoming Christmas period.

The mod pair recorded the one-off show in Salford and BBC 6 Music said on their official Facebook page fans should “Expect a programme jammed with classic tracks as the side-burned duo traded anecdotes about their musical heritage, stories of touring and their mutual love of music.”

Wiggins has become a household name after such a successful year, which has seen him win a Gold Medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games after becoming the first Briton to win the Tour de France. Weller is set to play shows in Japan at the end of the month in support of his most recent ‘Sonik Kicks’ album, which was released in March.

Speaking about the show, the head of programmes for 6 Music, James Stirling has said, "It's fantastic that two men who have excelled in their chosen fields can share their love of music on BBC Radio 6 Music."
