Christopher Maloney has been warned about being rude to X Factor staff, after a display of rude behaviour.
He reportedly snapped at a researcher on the show, leading top show executives to tell him to watch his step.
A source on the show told The Sun: "Christopher is not making many friends.
"He was out of line with a researcher and he’s been warned by top brass that he needs to wind his neck in or he’ll get the shove."
Fellow contestants on the show have also said to be less than thrilled with the singer, believing that Maloney's constant display of nerves are over the top and fake.

Maloney is just the latest contestant to cause trouble, following this week's news that Rylan and Lucy Spraggan were kicked out of The Corinthian hotel after their drunken and rowdy behaviour.
The show executives were said to be 'furious' about the pair's antics and have moved them to a budget hotel for the rest of the week.
And it's not just the contestants - judge and mentor Tulisa has also angered the long-suffering staff with reports of smoking in her dressing room and filling with her 'chavvy pals'.
"She's smoking in her dressing room in the breaks and it's full of her chavvy pals drinking from the minibar," says a source to The Sun newspaper."When they won't leave it means security staff are stuck there waiting to lock up."
