Lady Gaga has spoken of her excitement as she draws close to the last leg of her Born This Way ball tour, one which has spanned 11 months and four continents.

The singer took to Twitter to speak of her excitement at performing what she described as a 'victory lap' as her final tour dates of the global tour took place in America and Canada. However, she is still some way off ending the tour - as she doesn't finish the tour until 20 March, 2013. She began the tour in Korea back on 27 April, 2012.

That hasn't stopped the singer getting excited about a little time off - which has seen her cause controversy, throw up on stage and be accused of being either pregnant, fat or both pregnant and fat.

"I'm so excited to have the last leg of tour be in Canada + America!!! It feels like a victory lap! I CAN'T WAIT!!"

However, she insits she isn't tiring of her hectic schedule, adding ahead of her Paraguay show: "Usually 9 months into tour I start getting tired, I'm more excited tonight than ever. Then leaving for Africa.. Norway... Russia.. before US!"

After 11 months on the road, Gaga will most likely have to be carried off stage

But when the tour finishes, it is unlikely she will take any time off - as there is her new album ARTPOP to finish off.

The 'Marry The Night' star has been working on her third studio album throughout 2012, and she promises the album will be an 'app project' as well as a conventional album, as rumours have suggested ARTPOP will be an Edith Piaf tribute album.

Gaga has recorded much of the album in the nude (she confirmed) while Azealia Banks revealed she had recorded a duet with Gaga for the record.
