X Factor finalist Christopher Maloney made a triumphant return to his Liverpool home on Tuesday of this week, performing a sold out gig to thousands of fans - and his nan.
The singer has long cited his nan as his biggest inspiration, won the hearts of elderly phone-voters across the nation and even been rumoured to be releasing an album titled Songs For Me Nan. His grandmother Pat was among the 2,000-strong audience at Maloney's gig at Liverpool's Empire Theatre on 4 December, 2012.
Mentor Gary Barlow joined Maloney at the show after the pair made a surprise visit to Pat's home in Liverpool and were greeted by a 'mob' of locals showing their support for the singer.
The 34-year-old singer will compete with 'alien-headed busker' James Arthur and bookies favourite Jahmene Douglas in this weekend's X Factor final, despite a talent show journey that has seen him receive Twitter death threats and fierce criticism from show judges.

Earlier this week a fake tracklisting for Maloney's debut album, Songs For Me Nan was revealed and a mock album cover shared online.
The fake tracklisting pokes fun at Maloney's nervous behaviour in the early stages of the show, his past work on a cruise ship, his fake tan and more. The album is listed for release on the 21 December 2012. The tracklising is as follows:
