Boyband Union J only came fourth in The X Factor, but the boys aren't upset as now they'll have more time to work on their 'artistry'.

Band member Jaymi said, "Nine times out of ten it is actually better not to win. We get the option to really work on our artistry.

"We get the time, but not the pressure of being winners to sit own and work out what style of music we want to do and make us a brand."

Union J reportedly already have interest from major labels in signing them, with previous rumours that Louis Walsh had already signed the band seemingly unfounded - although he is apparently working with them to get the band the best deal.

According to TellyMix, a source said, "Louis always looks after his acts and he knows exactly what they need to do. They've already had massive interest from labels and a few offers."

They continued, "Nothing will be signed until next year, after The X Factor tour, but it's a great start. They've got their own management already and Louis believes they could be as big as One Direction."

According to the band's current manager, Blair Dreelan, however, Union J would be happy to have even a quarter of One Direction's success - and he doesn't mind the comparisons.

Speaking to Sugarscape, he said, "The fact of it is that they're a collective of good looking boys that sing songs, how could you not compare them?

"One Direction are amazing so if the boys could have a quarter of their success then we'd be over the moon."
