German band Kraftwerk have been confirmed to headline Scottish festival T In The Park this year, along with The Killers, Rihanna and Mumford & Sons.

The influental act are currently midway through a residency at the Tate Modern, and will be continuing their success by appearing at T In The Park.

Festival Director Geoff Ellis said, "Kraftwerk are a truly seminal band. Their revolutionary sound altered the face of contemporary music, and paved the way for so many artists across so many musical genres.

"They are a massively influential group and an incredible live act, and we are hugely excited to welcome Kraftwerk to T in the Park for the first time this July, in what will be a very special moment in our 20th year celebrations."

As well as Kraftwerk, previously confirmed headliners for the festival include Rihanna, The Killers and Mumford & Sons - which had a mixed reaction among fans when they were announced.

"As much as I hate T in the park the fact that mumford and sons and the killers are headlining acts I'm really contemplating going!" tweeted Josephine Grant.

However, Declan Healy tweeted, "The script and rihanna at T in the Park, rather die to be fair," and SSor echoed his sentiments, saying: "hahahahaha the t in the park 2013 line up looks so shite."

Other acts playing include Jake Bugg, Alt-J and Emeli Sande, as well as The Script, Two Door Cinema Club, Paloma Faith and Azealia Banks.

Tickets for T In The Park go on sale 22 February. For more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
