Biffy Clyro, Pink Floyd and more pay tribute to Storm Thorgerson

Iconic album cover designer Storm Thorgerson passed away yesterday (18 April), and stars have been paying tribute to Thorgerson over Twitter.

Thorgerson was most known for designing the famous prism cover of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, but was also responsible for Biffy Clyro's Opposites and Muse's Absolution covers, as well as many others.

Biffy Clyro posted on Twitter, "We are all very saddened to hear about Storm's death. He was a genuine one off... Our thoughts are with his family. He will be sadly missed."

Colin Meloy, of The Decemberists, posted, "RIP Storm Thorgerson!" and Graham Coxon of Blur tweeted simply, "Storm. X"

Spandau Ballet's Gary Kemp wrote, "The great Storm Thorgerson leaves us," and included a picture of Muse's Absolution art.

Rob Sheridan, of How to Destroy angels, tweeted, "RIP Storm Thorgerson, creator of some of the greatest, most iconic album covers of all time."

The Pink Floyd official account also tweeted about Thorgerson, writing, "Storm Thorgerson, long-time Pink Floyd graphic genius, friend and collaborator, very sadly passed away this afternoon. Rest in peace, Storm."
