Daft Punk's influence in 2013 has extended to the Marvel universe, with the French duo being discussed in a new issue of their cult series, FF.
The French duo are mentioned in a conversation between two 'H.E.R.B.I.Es' in a new issue of the comic, who discuss the humanity of Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manuel De Homem Christo while tending to an unconscious Johnny Storm from the future.
It is also questioned whether Daft Punk 'kneel before Doom', a reference to Fantastic Four villain Dr Doom, a long-time antagonist to the Fantastic Four. Daft Punk's robot personas are claimed to be nothing more than a 'gimmick' by one H.E.R.B.I.E to his companion, who believes they are real robots.

The FF book features a team of 'replacement' Fantastic Four members (Miss Thing, Medusa, She Hulk and Ant Man) while the original members journey in outer space.
