Iggy Azalea has spoken out about homosexuality in hip hop, arguing that there needs to be less prejudice and that more gay rappers should come out.

Last month, Gigwise spoke US rapper Eve, who said that 'more hip-hop stars should admit they're gay', before praising Frank Ocean for being 'ridiculously brave' about coming out as bi-sexual in 2012.

Azalea told us that she agreed with Eve: "(Homosexuals) are a part of the hip hop industry in a very big way and I think there should be less prejudice against homosexuality in rap music.

"The gay community is a big part of hip hop and rap music, not just necessarily artists but they’re in there. They’re styling a lot of the rappers, doing creative stuff, creating the videos, even if it’s not as an artist per say."

She added: "I'm sure I know there are artists who are in the closet".
