As same-sex marriage is set to become law in the UK, long-time supporters of the LGBT community, Placebo have spoken of their support for the sweeping tide of legal revolution.
The band have a huge LGBT following and have long explored androdgynous themes in their music - most notably in frontman Brian Molko's experimentation with his appearance when performing live. Now, as gay marriage looks set to become law in the UK, the rockers have wholeheartedly backed the legal move, even if Molko suggests gay people must be 'crazy' to want to get married.
"It's about time really," says Brian Molko tells Gigwise. "I hope to see a wave sweeping across the globe. I'm surprised that A. it has taken so long and B. there still seems to be such opposition to gay marriage."
"If gay people are crazy enough to want to get married, it should be allowed."

The song opens with a light piano refrain and the Brian Molko line: "My computer thinks I'm gay / I threw that piece of junk away." The track then drives with the energised drumming of more recent recruit Steve Forrest before a gradual rocky crescendo.
