Pete DohertyThe Razorlight camp have finally spoken out about Pete Doherty headbutting their lead singer Johnny Borrell while performing at the Leeds festival.

During the Bank Holiday weekend bash, Doherty reportedly went to Borrell’s dressing room with his old flame Lisa Moorish to talk with the singer.

At the time, a ‘source’ told the Sun: “Lisa and Pete popped in to say hello to Johnny. She was with him all day while Kate (Moss) is in Ibiza. They sat around having a few drinks. But something triggered in side Pete. He got up and headbutted Johnny – it was a heavy hit.”

“Johnny was in agony with blood running down his face. He punched back and landed one on Pete, who was dragged away by security.”

Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows told 6Music yesterday: "He's still got a bit of a bruised eye. I think as far as Johnny's concerned, it's no big deal.

"Peter is somebody he used to know. Maybe he feels he's not the same guy he used to know.

"It's a shame really, it was an amazing weekend - but it ended in a headbutt."

Pete Doherty and Babyshambles are kicking off their long awaited UK tour later this month.
