Leeds Festival gets off to a strong start today with Biffy Clyro and Nine Inch Nails topping the bill on the Main Stage.

It marks a monumental moment for Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro, having performed the festival circuit for years, the shirtless trio have finally made it to the top and will no doubt play to a buzzing crowd.

Nine Inch Nails will be gracing the Main stage, with a set that is expected to include old classics and new material. Having teased fans with a series cuts from their upcoming album and played a warm up gig in London earlier this week, the rockers should have a crowd-pleasing set up their sleeves.

Also on the mainstage are Fall Out Boy, The Lumineers, Editors and Don Broco.

Over on the NME/Radio 1 stage French rock band Phoenix will be headlining, following performances from rap queen Azealia Banks, who recieved immensely positive reviews following a thrilling set at this year's Glastonbury, and the phenomenal Disclosure, who have gone from strength to strength following the release of their debut album, Settle.

Other acts performing on this stage include Haim, Alex Clare, Villagers and AlunaGeorge, proving the festival expands way beyond just a rock heavy line up.

The Radio 1 Dance stage kicks off with sets from the likes of Knife Party, Baauer and Fred V & Grafix, which will certainly provide rave loving festival goers with a big night ahead of them.

Hip-hop fans won't be dissappointed either, with sets coming from Angel Haze, Wretch-32, Ms Dynamite and Mikill Pane over on the Radio 1xtra stage.
