The 1975 secured their pop credentials today (4 September 2013) when they performed a cover version of One Direction's debut single for Radio One's Live Lounge.
The band, who have topped the midweek chart with their debut album, performed a stripped back version of 'What Makes You Beautiful' during their appearance on Fearne Cotton's daytime show. The 1975's cover adds a little more emotional clout to the chart topper, with Matt Healy's passioned vocals drawing new life from the X Factor boyband's hit.
