After a year of touring, Band of Skulls have announced the release of their third album Himalayan, due for release next year.
The news follows the premiere of new lead single 'Asleep at the Wheel' on Zane Lowe's show on BBC Radio 1 last week, which will be released 5 January.
The Southampton rockers teamed up with producer Nick Launay for the album, who's worked with the likes of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arcade Fire, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and will release Himalayan in spring of 2014 through Electric Blues Recordings.
The band had a successful year back in 2011 with 'Sweet Sour' hitting the album chart at no14 which catapulted them on a worldwide tour sharing a stage with Red Hot Chilli Pepers, The Black Keys, The Dead Weather and Muse as well as sold out headline London shows at The Roundhouse and Brixton Academy.
Now they'll be playing a headline gig at Bloomsbury Ballroom on 20 November and are currently on tour with Queens of the Stone Age on their UK and European touring which stops off at Wembley Arena on 23 November. For more information visit the Gigwise Gig Tickets
