Phoenix have had to cancel some of their European tour dates after a doctor's concern for Thomas Mars' voice.

The band has to cancel Thursday and Friday's gigs in Lyon and Nantes but are hoping they will be able to return to schedule for tonight's show in Toulouse (Saturday 16th).

Haim, who are currently touring with Phoenix on the European leg of their tour tweeted their get well soon message to Mars, writing: "Really bummed these last 2 Phoenix shows were canceled. :( Sending Thomas lots of good vibes so his voice gets better! See you in Toulouse."

Phoenix had to pull out of their iTunes Festival performance in September due to Thomas' ill health but are set to return to the UK in early 2014.

The UK tour dates are as follows:

Feb10th - Barrowland, Glasgow

Feb 11th - Academy, Manchester

Feb 12th - O2 Academy, Brixton
