It has been announced Lorde will perform at the Grammy nominations concert this Friday (December 6).

The New Zealand star, who shot to fame this year with her world-conquering hit 'Royals', will be appearing alongside the likes of Robin Thicke, Keith Urban and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis at the event in Los Angeles.

Ken Ehrlich, producer of the show, which is officially named Grammy Nominations Concert Live - Countdown to Music's Biggest Night, told Associated Press the gig will mean huge exposure for the 17 year old singer. "This will be the greatest number of people to see her in one place at one time," he revealed.

Lorde released her debut album Pure Heroine on September 30, the last day a record can be considered for a Grammy, and the singer, real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor, is expected to be up for a string of awards.

The star recently premiered the dark, super-cool visuals to new single 'Team', taken from Pure Heroine.
