Noel Gallagher has reportedly turned down a cool £20million to reunite with his Oasis bandmates to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Definitely Maybe, next year.

A source told the Sunday Mirror that no amount of money could ease tensions between Noel and his brother Liam, who have been embroiled in an on/off feud throughout the years - and haven't spoken properly since 2009.

"There were hopes he would do it but frankly, he just doesn't want to," says the source. "The Oasis reunion is well and truly off. He has refused all offers, it got to £20million but even the lure of money like that just didn't work."

However, the source suggests Liam would be willing to put the past behind them for such a large pay-off, adding the vocalist "is very keen to get back together, if only for the money." However, it seems his brother can't be won over that easily.

"There have been several intermediaries from their respective camps working very hard indeed to reach some form of agreement but Noel isn't budging and a working solution between the brothers simply can't be found," the source continued.

Noel Gallagher has previously stated he is not interested in reuniting with his former bandmates, saying in November: "If there is a reunion, I won't be in it."

Below - What on earth is going on with these Oasis 2014 reunion rumours, then?
