More about: Arctic Monkeys
Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has admitted he's grown tired of playing the band's old tracks live, even calling it "tough".
Turner even compared playing early hits such as 'I Bet You Look Good On the Dancefloor' and 'When the Sun Goes Down' to "telling the same joke 600 times".
"Sometimes it's tough to get through one of the old ones live. You know, you don't feel like that anymore. When you tell the same joke 600 times, you won't hear what it is any more," he told the Daily Star.

It's likely Turner is more happy playing the band's new material. The Sheffield four piece released their fifth studio album, AM, in September 2013 to widespread critical acclaim, and was nominated for that year's Mercury Prize.
The record, which features hit singles 'Do I Wanna Know?' and 'Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?' is also the Monkeys' most commercially successful album yet, topping the charts in several countries across the globe.
Meanwhile, Arctic Monkeys are bookies' favourite to win Best British Band at the upcoming NME Awards, where they've amassed a whopping eight nominations.
