Kylie Minogue has announced details of her new album, Kiss Me Once, and revealed that new single 'Into The Blue' will premiere online at 10am on Monday, 27 January 2014. See the artwork above.

The Australian singer and talent show judge will release her new record later in 2014, following the 9 March release of her upcoming new single, 'Into The Blue'. The record will be Minogue's 12th solo album, and her first since inking a new deal with Jay Z's Roc Nation record label. The singer is said to have signed the deal in the hopes of cracking the US market.

Minogue replaced Jessie J on the third series of The Voice UK in 2014, and has proven a hit with TV audiences, with the show attracting huge numbers during its first episodes. Former Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson has also joined the show, replacing The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue as 'the indie one'.

Minogue is yet to reveal new single, 'Into The Blue', but the track recently leaked online - before being promptly deleted. Music news site Consequence Of Sound described the single as having 'undeniable pop allure' and describes it as 'a dancefloor dream' and quotes lyrics of the chorus, which are as follows: "When I got my back up against the wall, don’t need no one to rescue me/’Cause I ain’t waiting up for no miracle, yeah tonight I’m running free."

Website Idolator praised the song for its "the seismic hook, where Minogue’s crystalline voice soars over an arena-ready dance breakdown."

Below: 14 reasons to be excited about pop music in 2014

  • Royksopp and Robyn: Not only are the Scandinavian stars teaming up for a joint US and European tour in 2014, (hold onto your robot helmets), they have also been working on new material together in the studio. Now, their previous collaborations 'The Girl And The Robot' and 'None Of Dem' are flawless electropop classics, and everything about this partnership is completely amazing.

  • The new Bright Light Bright Light album: London-based electropop star Rod Thomas has been writing and recording new music as BLx2 in New York, and on the strength of his 2013 In Your Care EP, it will be every bit as brilliant as his debut, Make Me Believe In Hope. (photo by Alex Petch)

  • Daft Punk tour: Please, please, PLEASE let this happen. The French duo are performing live at the 2014 Grammy Awards, so there is finally a glimmer of hope on this one...

  • Chvrches tour: We recently named Chvrches debut album, The Bones Of What You Believe, our favourite album of 2013, and we can't wait for the Scottish synth superstars to hit the road next year. These guys are just going to get bigger and better.

  • M0: Robyn's new material will need to be pretty damn spectacular with M0 on the scene. This Danish singer is one of the most inventive new popstars in years, and her debut album promises to be spectacular.

  • Say Lou Lou: These Swedish sisters are basically the future of lady-pop. Expect live shows, an album and loads of achingly brilliant pop videos. We have no idea how they will better tracks such as 'Julian' and 'Beloved', but we can't wait to hear them try.

  • The Mutya Keisha Siobhan album: Rumours initially seemed to suggest that the reformed Sugababes had been dropped by their record label after the relative flop of comeback single, 'Flatline'. We hope this isn't the case, however, as there is still potential for greatness here.

  • New The 1975 EP: Matt Healy of The 1975 recently told us that he has the band's 2014 all mapped out - and that includes releasing a new EP. The band first made their name with a string of brilliant EPs, so we can't wait to hear what they have in store next.

  • Lorde tour: Lorde recently announced her first ever US tour, so surely UK dates won't be far behind? Expect the brilliant, outspoken New Zealand star to bring her Pure Heroine album to our shores.

  • St Lucia album: We have been banging on about St Lucia for years, and that's because we have. We first wrote about our love for this Brooklyn-based electro pop collective in 2012, and next year, they are finally due to release their incredible debut album, When The Night in the UK. Proper pop music for proper grown ups.

  • Kids Of The Apocalypse: The new project from the criminally overlooked Sound Of Arrows, Kids Of The Apocalypse teased us with a handful of brilliant tracks in 2013, plus a mind-blowing remix of London Grammar's 'Wasting My Young Years' single. Expect big things, even if it is reworking other people's work into dark, synth-pop masterpieces.

  • Fryars debut album: A brilliant pop-soul hybrid, Fryars debut album is, in places, one of the most brilliant pop albums in years - while in others, sounds like a modern day Scott Walker. Either side of the coin is equally as awesome as the other, and his album is all kinds of wonderful.

  • A Chet Faker album: In case you didn't already know - Chet Faker is AWESOME. This Australian soul singer has one of the most superb voices in music, but he really knows how to take his time with his work. He has released two EPs in two years, and told us that he had completed an album, only to scrap the whole thing. He is BFFs with Flume, and the two collaborated on the Lockjaw EP this year. It was amazing. Hopefully, his debut album is just around the corner.

  • Beyonce's UK tour: Beyonce's 2013 self-titled album was one of the biggest albums of the year, despite being released very late in the year. It came days after she announced her 2014 tour, so at least she'll have new music to perform when she returns to the UK.
