Some of the biggest bands in modern rock teamed up at the Grammy Awards, with members of Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, Fleetwood Mac and Foo Fighters closed the Grammy Awards - but they were cut off during their performance. See the performance.

The all-star performance included Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age and Lindsay Buckingham, who began with a rendition of NIN's 'Copy of A' before switching into performing 'My God is the Sun' by QOTSA. Grohl featured on drums, whereas Buckingham sung guest vocals and performed on guitar.

However while the performance was pretty bloody amazing, the usual TV scheduling issues arose when the supergroup were cut off mid performance. At the end of the broadcast the credits roll over while the song is still performing, even including a message from the airline sponsor Delta being shown over the top.

Trent Reznor later took to Twitter to express his extreme displeasure at the premature severance of proceedings. The NIN frontman called the "biggest night in music" "disrespectful" for what happened.

Daft Punk, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Lorde all led the list of winners the 2014 Grammy Awards from last night. The phenomenal show at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles was opened by Jay Z and Beyonce, before The Beatles, Lorde and more took to the stage.
