Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' all conquering track 'Thrift Shop' has been named the best performing rap track of the last 25 years.
Macklemore's inescapable song with Ryan Lewis has now been recognised for its chart dominance, sitting at the top of a Billboard chart of the best-selling rap tracks. Despite being released back in 2012, the track has performed so consistently well during the 18 months since that it has secured the top spot.
The Top 100 Hot Rap Songs compiles all the best-selling tracks since 1989 when the chart was first started by Billboard. Other notable entries on the list include 69 Boyz's 1994 hit 'Tootsee Roll' at No.2, 1999's 'Hot Boyz' by Miss Elliott featuring Nas, Eve and Q-Tip at No.3, and Salt-n-Pepa's 1989 track 'Expression' rounds out the Top Five.
