Morrissey is flirting with the idea of a cameo appearance on Radio 4 show The Archers, having reportedly been offered a role on the radio soap opera.
In a post on fan site True To You, the ex-Smiths frontman is said to be 'fascinated' by the prospect of appearing on the show. It comes after producers of the show allegedly approached the singer to appear, although a spokesperson has denied the oppurtunity to comment, saying that the BBC won't comment on future plot developments for the show.
The Archers is a radio soap that follows the scandalous exploits of a fictional farming community in Ambridge. If Morrissey does indeed take the slot you can no doubt expect to hear his rather strong views on the production of meat and ending lives for the sake of having a snack.
Morrissey has made previous cameos in soap operas, choosing to appear in a 1998 episode of the now defunct Brookside.
