Lily Allen has slammed Radio One for their playlist choices, saying that no one at the station 'know the fuck what they're doing'.

Allen has already spoken out this week about the performance of her latest album, Sheezus, but has now slammed BBC Radio One after it emerged that she was dropped from their main playlist. The comments were made in an interview with PressPLAY - watch it in full below.

"The truth is nobody knows what the f*** they’re doing," she said of Radio One. "They can pretend they’ve got a formula that works and [that] they 'know' they’re exactly in control of the game but they’re just not. No one knows."

Speaking about sexism in the music industry and how it's affected artists like her and Sky Ferreira, she continued:  "The music industry is run mainly by elder males… It sits better with them to be able to assert their power and control over something that they see as weak and i think they probably see women as weak"

She continued: "People don’t really like being confronted with the truth very much and i’m not really one of those people that’s going to say everything’s great. I don’t think our obsession with celebrity culture is very healthy… Maybe some kids will hear what i say and think ‘I want to do something else’".

When asked about her relationship with upcoming tourmate Miley Cyrus, Allen added: "I met her a couple of times and she tweets and direct messages to say she likes my work”. “We’re not pals but i’m happy to be her pal”. "She’s brilliant she takes her clothes off and sings really loud It’s great."
