An onine storm erupted this week after Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello publicly slammed a Seattle cafe for refused him entry, who then responded with a statement saying he had acted "like a prick."
The heated exchange began after Morello's performance at the El Corazan as part of a benefit concert for 15 Now, an organisation that successfully campaigned to get the minimum wage raised to $15 in Seattle.
After the gig, as Blabbermouth reports, Morello and his companions tried to get a "special room" at the 5 Point Cafe, but were refused entry because it was at capacity. He subsequently wrote a series of angry Twitter posts.
Five Point restaurant in Seattle is the WORST. Super rude & anti-worker. Shittiest doorman in the Northwest. Prick. Spread the word.

The 5 Point Cafe responded in kind, with a lengthy Facbook post which said: "Act like a prcik + get treated like a prick... Rock stars don't get special treatment at The 5 Point. We couldn't give less of a shit. Sorry."
Morello then responded to THAT post, with a sort-of apology ("I regret that my twitter salvo may have taken away from the important work of those organizing for a $15min wage") which then evolved into him asking if the doorman was "anti-Kenyan?"
Still with us? OK. There's more. The 5 Point Cafe's owner has now called Morello's racism accusations "fucked up."
He continues, "That really sucks and is crazy abusive. Done with you. Maybe you don't realize you were acting the punk but you were. Just because 10 people leave a place doesn't mean the place still isn't over capacity. Ugh. You should really STFU."
In other news, Morello reunited on-stage with Audioslave bandmate Chris Cornell while in Seattle - their first time playing together in seven years.
