Slipknot have scored their second number one album this week, topping the Billboard charts with their fifth full-length album '.5: The Gray Chapter', a week ahead of Taylor Swift's hugely-hyped '1989' release.

After a six year break, the masked metallers have returned in explosive fashion, selling over 132,000 copies of their new LP, propelling them straight to the top spot. Their previous full-length effort, All Hope Is Gone, also debuted at number No. 1, selling just under 240,000 in its first week.

The album is the Iowa band's first offering since following the death of Paul Gray and the departure of Joey Jordison. When quizzed by Larry King recently, frontman Corey Taylor talked about what he thinks Gray's views would be on the record.

“I think he would’ve loved it,” Taylor said. “I mean, it’s essentially the story of the last four years, dealing with the aftermath of his death and all of us trying to kind of get back to a place where we wanted to make music again.”
